Rules for CE Credit (Adapted from State Insurance Departments)
- Be on time to receive CE credit! Plan on delays due to heavy traffic, particularly in Utah County. Allow extra travel time. The first session of the symposium begins at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2017.
- No CE credit is given to a person who arrives late to a session or leaves the session early, regardless of the reason.
- If you are not in the room for the entire session and when the forms are stamped, you cannot receive credit for that session. The states do not allow exceptions.
- No CE credit will be awarded after October 1, 2017.
Not all sessions of the symposium qualify for CE credit. The schedule identifies the sessions that are approved for CE credit. The schedule will be in the printed program, which you will receive at the symposium.
Stamping your CE form when you shouldn't (when you haven't attended the entire session) is unethical and dishonest, and has no place in our industry. Please do not do it. Abuse of the rules negatively affects the reputation of the symposium, BYU, the Society of Financial Service Professionals, sponsors, and their relationships with the various state insurance departments. Abuse will result in a loss of CE approval.
Questions about CE credit may be directed to Angela Aldous at firstname.lastname@example.org. During the symposium, inquire at the registration counter.
